Synopsis

Reconstructing her mother’s life which is filled with regret and sorrow, one of Silvia’s children experiments with her parents’ archive. Enriched with memory flashes of both her sisters, a new Silvia figure is rebuilt as a mom with three daughters, which was formerly portrayed as a “happy family”.

  • Maria Silvia Esteve

    As an Argentine filmmaker born in Guatemala, María Silvia Esteve studied and taught film at the University of Buenos Aires, and has worked both for film and television. Her debut film Silvia received the Postproduction Coral Award at Habana Film Festival, and won as Best Project in various Labs, such as DocLisboa Arché. The film had its World Premiere at IDFA, was at numerous festivals, and was rewarded at Docaviv, and at the Buenos Aires International Documentary Festival. Selected for The Biennale of Young Art Buenos Aires, the director participated of IDFAcademy, and was part of IDFA Summer School, with her new project in development Mailin.
