Synopsis
Pedro Lemebel is a writer, artist, and the pioneer for the queer movement in Latin America, especially in Chile. The 1980’s movement created a jolt to conservative citizens in the Pinochet regime–who is known as a dictator. During the eight year process of film-making, Lemebel worked on the body character, blood and fire, yet in the end, he couldn’t see the final result.

Joanna Reposi Garibaldi
Joanna Reposi Garibaldi (1971). Chilean. Screenwriter, director and visual artist. Master of Arts at Goldsmiths College, University of London. Her short film, “Sam & Dave” (2002) was premiered at the Institute of Contemporary Art in London and selected at the 9th Sheffield Int’l Documentary Film Festival. “Locos del Alma” (2003), her first feature film received Special Mention from the Jury in FIDOCS and was selected in Crètiel Film Femme Festival, France (2005), among others. In 2017 she made the short film “Matriz” (2017) which was exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Santiago de Chile and in the Biennal of Image and Movement of Buenos Aires (2018). “Lemebel”, her second feature film was winner of Docs in Progress in Visions du Réel (2018), Switzerland and have its World Premiere in Berlinale 2019.
