Reclaiming our right not to be defined. Something that has been taken from me and many other women of Asian descent. The work is documenting how this feels and maps the terrain for an alternative reality off-screen.

  • Rosalia Namsai Engchuan

    Rosalia Namsai Engchuan is an artist and researcher whose practice draws on collaborative encounters as well as decolonial, multispecies, and queer theory to examine questions of social justice. She has written widely for art and academic publications on Asian femininities and epistemic violence and lectured internationally at Cornell University, Harvard University, HKB Fine Arts, NYU Tisch School of the Arts, and Sandberg Institute. Her ongoing research is on the global evolution of wellness cultures and botanical-elemental-spiritual rituals of care.
