Thematic Screening

Through its regular screening program, Forum Film Dokumenter showcases various documentary works from Indonesia and across the globe, serving as a meeting point for audiences to watch, discuss, and exchange ideas on relevant issues. This program also provides a space for cultural practices, communities, and institutions to connect, engage in dialogue, and broaden access to documentary works.

Present in various formats and through diverse collaborations since Forum Film Dokumenter was established, namely Let’s Screen Docs! and Café Society Cinema (in collaboration with Ruang MES 56 and Bakudapan Food Study Group), the program has served as a versatile platform for showcasing documentaries in a wide range of contexts and communities. The program is developed in collaboration with numerous partners ranging from art collectives and cultural spaces to communities and educational institutions, allowing each edition to be responsive to the distinct issues, needs, and characteristics of its audience.
