The digital universe is massive and fascinating, with the support of innovation which blurred the difference between digital and realistic, its appeal is unrivaled. It has been long since the medium movie mastered the magic to bring its audience to another reality. With the innovation of virtual reality and augmented reality, the audience are invited to step further in “A Play of Perspective”. Every project screened in this program offered a different reality experience using a different technology.
The Enemy, for example, combined VR and AR technology and could be implemented in some devices. Using 3D scanner, this movie captured their body language with eyes that holds many stories. The Space We Hold is an interactive documentary web that offers a unique view of reconciliation challenge and gives testimony about sexual harassment in the digital era.
While Very Very Short is a smartphone interactive anthology project. This anthology accommodates 10 interactive projects from various countries and was produced using cellular phone by exploring the mobility theme through a very short experience. At least, every movie in this anthology has a duration of no more than 60 seconds.
The three projects were presented as a reading of the infinite possibilities in the use of movie medium. Specifically, documentary movie medium which is closely tied with the intimacy of subjects and the audience, where perception and point of view become an important element in the attempted-to-be-built empathy.
