Synopsis
Amid the aftermath of Mozambique’s civil war, I visit my grandmother, confronting fading memories and blurred lines between truth and fiction. A former rebel’s presence in the village echoes the relentless ghosts of war, mirroring the tensions of my generation.

Inadelso Cossa is a founder of 16mmFILMES a production company focused on creative documentary and feature films. His films address themes such as post-colonial memory, post-Civil War trauma, silent voices, and collective amnesia in Mozambique.
Émilie Dudognon
Emilie Dudognon launched IDA.IDA in 2015 to answer the specific production needs of films at the crossroads of cinema and art. In 2016, IDA.IDA and momento! joined forces and set up a joint venture in order to develop and distribute cutting edge cinematic works by political filmmakers dissecting the contemporary world.
Thomas Kaske
Thomas Kaske was born 1984 in the countryside close to Berlin. After living in Nairobi for a while, he decided to study Social and Cultural Anthropology and Film Studies at the Freie Universität Berlin. Since 2008, he worked for the MA Visual and Media Anthropology at FU Berlin. After specializing himself in Visual Anthropology, he started to fall in love with documentary filmmaking. In 2013, he began to study Media Art and Media Design at the Bauhaus University in Weimar. During his M.F.A. he directed and produced experimental short films. After his studies, he started to work as a Junior Producer and Archive Researcher for the Berlin-based companies, Ilanga Films and Molly Aida. Since 2016, Thomas works as an independent director and producer.
