MIREN FELDER

Synopsis
An icy suspense, a blue party, invisible walls, sips of salt water, a shivering mirror, a crash in the snow, released snakes, and a ghost piano. Miren Felder (2024) is a film made with monochrome photographs taken by my military grandfather. The images are presented as hidden emergency codes sent by my grandmother after her death in a plane crash in 1977. I offer myself as a medium to invoke my grandmother’s spirit and communicate with her. Miren Felder takes the form of ritual knotting different layers of time and opens a portal to interrogate my family’s collaboration with the dictatorship.
