Synopsis
This magnificent short film displays a series of black and white and colour photos of the Hiroshima Prefectural Commercial Exhibition, before and after the explosion, spanning from 1914 to this century.

Jean-Gabriel Périot, an artist who refers to his works as ‘cinema’, is considered one of the most contemporary in his visual creations. Not only does he frequently work with video as a medium, using archives as artistic material for his visual works, but Périot is also sensitive to current history. His significant works include Undo (2000), We Are Winning Don’t Forget (2004), and Nijuman No Borei (200000 Phantoms) (2007), which was screened at the Ok. Video “Militia” in the National Gallery of Jakarta, July 2007. Périot has been awarded the Grand Prix at the Tampere International Film Festival, Finland, and the Best International Short at the Cork International Film Festival, Ireland. Born in France in 1974, Périot describes himself with various professions.
