Jury

Jinna Lee

Jinna Lee is a programmer at Ulsan Ulju Mountain Film Festival (UMFF) since 2018. She finished the film studies PhD Course at Hanyang University. Before joining UMFF, since 2005 she has worked at several film festivals in Korea and served on several film festivals’ jury work. Moreover, she programmed several international-related programs.

Tan Pin Pin

Tan Pin Pin is a Singapore artist and filmmaker for whom art-making is a means to understand herself and the place and time from where she has come. She is known for groundbreaking films about Singapore including Singapore GaGa (2005), Invisible City (2007), IN TIME TO COME (2017) and To Singapore, with Love (2013). She has had retrospectives at Montreal International Documentary Festival (RIDM), Dok Leipzig, and at the Flaherty Seminar.

Thomas Barker

Thomas Barker is an Honorary Associate Professor at the Australian National University. Previously, he was Head of School at the University of Nottingham Malaysia, and a visiting scholar at UCLA, National Chengchi University, National University of Singapore, and the National Library of Australia. He has served on the juries for the International Documentary Association and Freedom Film Festival Malaysia, and written for the Far East Film Festival. He has written extensively about the screen industries of Indonesia and Southeast Asia.

Selection Committee

Oggs Cruz

Oggs Cruz is a corporate and maritime lawyer by profession. He has contributed articles and reviews to print publications such as Businessworld, The Philippine Star, and the Philippine Free Press. He was previously reviewed for Rappler and has written articles for various film books, including The Philippine New Wave. He was selected to take part in the Berlinale Talent Press and was part of several selection committees of various film festivals including Cinemalaya, Cinema One, and Quezon City Film Festival.

Sanchai Chotirosseranee

Sanchai Chotirosseranee is the deputy director of the Thai Film Archive (Public Organization). He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication, Thammasat University, Thailand, and a Master of Arts in Film Studies from the University of East Anglia in the United Kingdom.

Valencia Winata

Valencia Winata is a film researcher who has made several short videos. Since 2024, she has been part of the selection committee for ARKIPEL – Jakarta International Documentary and Experimental Film Festival. She was also part of the database team at Forum Film Dokumenter, Yogyakarta, that manages Indonesia’s documentary film collection. She is currently continuing her education in Cultural Studies at Universitas Sanata Dharma. Her research focuses on film history, aesthetics, and culture.
