Dave Lumenta
Dave Lumenta (1971) is an anthropologist at Universitas Indonesia. His main academic interest covers transnational mobility, borderland ethnography as well as Art practices. His other activities are focused on music and film music scoring with two Citra Award nominations for Seperti Dendam Rindu Harus Dibayar Tuntas (Edwin, 2022) and one for Kabut Berduri (Edwin, 2024). Two short documentaries were made from his research Borderless Borneo (2003, with Rhino Ariefiansyah) and Performing Out of Limbo (2018 with Rhino Ariefiansyah & Betharia Nurhadist).

Nia Dinata
Nia Dinata, born in Jakarta in 1970, studied Film in the U.S. before joining Indonesia’s post-1998 reform filmmakers. Her debut film, The Courtesan (2001) and the follow-up The Gathering (2003), tackled bold social themes. Love for Share (2006) confirmed her as a leading woman director, earning honors at Tribeca and Hawaii. A 2008 Eisenhower Fellow and 2009 Young Global Leader, she continues to inspire through the Kalyana Shira Foundation’s Project Change! workshops empowering new filmmakers.

Taichi Ishikawa
While working mainly on fiction films as a filmmaker, Taichi Ishikawa has been participating in Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival as a staff member since 2019. He worked as Associate Coordinator for New Asian Currents at the 2025 edition of the festival.

Agus Mediarta
Lecturer in the film program at Universitas Multimedia Nusantara, freelance researcher, and co-founder and manager of the online Indonesian film database at filmindonesia.or.id. During his college years, Agus Mediarta pursued his interest in Indonesian political history, but switched to film while active in the film community (Konfiden). He has tried his hand at many jobs in film, including as a film programmer. This journey led him to pursue a master’s degree in sociology with a focus on film themes. Currently, Agus is also a member of the Indonesian Film Studies Association (Pengkaji Film Indonesia, Kafein).

Eric Sasono
Eric Sasono is an Indonesian film critic who obtained his doctoral degree in film studies from King’s College London in 2019. For 10 years (2009–2019), Eric was the executive board’s secretary of YMMFI, the Indonesian Independent Film Society Foundation, that established the Indonesian Documentary Center (In-Docs) and organized the now-defunct Jakarta International Film Festival (JIFFest). Eric has co-written a book about the Indonesian film industry and edited a volume about Southeast Asian cinema.

Lee Yve Vonn
Lee Yve Vonn is a Malaysian producer for Kuala Lumpur based Afternoon Pictures. She produced Busan New Currents and Berlinale Forum title, Oasis of Now by Chia Chee Sum, with some notable accolades. She also co-produced Hungry Ghost Diner by Wejun Cho, a NETPAC award recipient from Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival, currently available on Netflix Southeast Asia. Other than fiction, she produced Shanghai Quarantopia by Clarissa Zhang that competed in Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival.
