Tedious Days and Nights

Synopsis
After living as a drifting poet for 30 years, Poet Zeng went back to his birthplace located in a closed state-owned coal mine in southern China. Life has undergone tremendous changes, and the line between reality and memories gets blurry. Two poet friends, He and Guan, came to visit him. They wander together among the debris. In aimless wandering, a hidden historical wound is presented. 32 years ago, as a student leader, Zeng’s life changed greatly because of his participation in the democratic movement in1989. Summer passed into fall, Poet Zeng couldn’t extricate himself in the continuous drizzle of late autumn.

Zhenming Guo
Zhenming Guo (born 1980, Shaoyang, Hunan) lives in Yunan, China. He got his BA in literature from Hunan Normal University in 2003 and and MA in art history from the Fine Arts Department of Yunpan University in 2007. In 2010, he resigned from Xinjiang Arts Institute and became a freelance artist.
