Planet of Love

Synopsis
Ngatiyem and her grandson, Okta, live at Lentera, an orphanage in Solo for children with HIV. After the orphanage is relocated to a secluded cemetery, Okta and friends are expelled from school. As Okta’s health declines, Ngatiyem becomes overwhelmed, struggling to provide the care and attention he desperately needs.
The film screening will be followed by a DOC Talk session.

Ika Wulandari
Ika Wulandari began her documentary career as a camera operator on You and I (Fanny Chotimah, 2020), which received multiple awards at international film festivals. Her directorial debut, Planet of Love (2025), was selected for the Yamagata Rough Cut! Program at the Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival 2019. The film had its world premiere at Jakarta Film Week 2025 in the Direction Award program.
