Le Mois du Documentaire

Program Notes

A Chronicle

Behind the camera that allows events to unfold naturally, a warm portrait, touching, full of patience and respect about relationships as a sine qua non process; between a domestic issue, a broken appliance, and psychiatric conditions in their homes. Fixing objects is used as a metaphor for repairing people’s lives and helping them find meaning. The Typewriter and Other Headaches (Nicolas Philibert, 2024) offers time and space for meandering conversations, internal monologues, complex relationships, unexpected things, and long silences.

This film is presented in Le Mois du film Documentaire program, an annual event in France and around the world, initiated by Image en Bibliothèque. Throughout the month of November, various film screenings are held at cultural, educational, and social institutions to promote creative documentary film.
