Sastra & Sinema

Program Notes

The reiteration of literature into film is a monumental task. How are metaphors, imagery, and narrative structures in literature transformed into mise-en-scène, montage, and performance in film, offering viewers a visual and auditory experience?

This session will discuss how to bring the magical realism of Gabriel García Márquez’s novel One Hundred Years of Solitude (1967) to life on screen.
