Kim Bany runs a wheelchair basketball association in Juba, South Sudan. Through this and other platforms, he aims to inspire other people with disabilities to live up to their fullest potential. Kim lost his leg when he was only 14 years old during an attack that was carried out in his village in the northern South Sudan. Despite numerous challenges, Kim finished university in Kenya and came back to his home country to fight for the rights of people with disabilities. Decades of conflict and looming economic crises have been pushing the people with disabilities to the outskirts of society.
