<\/p>\n\u201cWhich is stronger\u2014fate or will?\u201d D\u00e1vid, the director, takes the question while wandering with his skateboard and camera along the streets of Budapest, Hungary. The wheels of the skateboard pick up sceptical answers from a homeless man who was increasingly disillusioned with the world after the government began to consider imprisoning homeless people in the midst of the country’s crisis.<\/p>\n

However, it was different with Sanyi. A boy, whom D\u00e1vid found on a corner street in Budapest, always knows how to enjoy the world with joy amid the bunch of desperate vagrants. His authenticity convinced D\u00e1vid to focus the camera on Sanyi and let the boy lead the narrative construction for more than a decade. Sanyi refuses to throw in the towel in the face of the fate that overtook him in a 28-square-meter flat with his parents, two brothers, and grandmother.<\/p>\n

Budapest\u2019s streets and D\u00e1vid\u2019s skateboards become Sanyi\u2019s escape rides. With the spirit of conquering the world, he roams the streets with his friends, vandalizing homeless property, kicking balls everywhere, and scribbling asphalt with his colorful chalk-attempting to offer a softer touch to the tense world around him.<\/p>\n
\u201cI can do whatever I want. I can defeat anything I\u2019m faced with. I\u2019ll find the mistake in the world and correct it.\u201d<\/p>\n
Sanyi continues to hide in the hustle and bustle while secretly harboring a deeper wish for the world to accept him. People tend to see him as a mere troublemaker, but through the lens of D\u00e1vid and B\u00e1lint\u2019s camera, they managed to capture the joyful and hopeful innocence of Sanyi. One day, his street action leads Sanyi to an unexpected fate, changing his life forever.<\/p>\n

This 94-minute documentary directed by D\u00e1vid Mikul\u00e1n and B\u00e1lint R\u00e9v\u00e9sz longitudinally offers Sanyi\u2019s journey of self-discovery through fast-moving scenes together with his skateboard wheels. It is a self-defining journey among Hungarian families, communities and streets. The new journey starts after the film ends.
