On Broadway#5

A structural account of the cultural transformation of a mosque in a basement space in Manhattan, New York City. Consisting of six long take shots, it starts with a relaxed conversation in the everyday life of an emptiness of a basement. Then it gradually becomes an event – an event of struggle. At the end, with a twist, it raises questions about the boundaries between the mundane and the spiritual, the politics and the everyday.
